Who else can’t believe the year of 2015 is almost over? The Veterans Portrait Project team hopes this year has been a success for all of our followers! We wrap up our featured veteran blog entries this year with Daniel Boone, I mean, James Davis!
Davis served in the Marine Corps as a welder during the Vietnam War for four years. Today, he is active in the American Legion, and is a counselor with Boys State.
We thank Davis not only for his service, but for his kindness while we photographed at the American Legion Convention this year in Baltimore, Maryland. He made many smile in his Daniel Boone get-up with his “West Virginia Legionnaire” patch accessorizing the outfit. Yes, his hat was made out of a real raccoon!
Enjoy the last few days of 2015, and continue to follow us as we feature today’s heroes: Our United States Veterans.
