This week’s featured veteran was photographed this past September in Colorado Springs, CO. Brad Tyra was in the Air Force and Army, retiring only a little over a year ago. After serving our country, he is now training for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Tyra was diagnosed with dyslexia in fourth grade. Not only is he training for the olympics, but he is also in graduate school studying communications which focus on dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and dyslexia. The International Dyslexia Association will be sponsoring him during the Olympics, and he will be wearing the IDA logo while training and competition. You can follow him on Facebook here.
